Realtor Charlotte Lacy, broker/owner of Austin Executive Homes, in light of National Cancer Research Month, is raising awareness of alternate treatments for cancer that are non-toxic and effective. “So many people just don’t know there are other alternatives for cancer,” said Lacy, who was diagnosed with Fourth Stage Lymphoma over ten years ago. “It took me longer to heal from a broken ankle than it did for me to recover from Stage 4 cancer, and I felt good the whole time.”
In fact, Lacy, a spokesperson for So Live, whose mission is to raise awareness and funds to make effective, non-toxic cancer medications more accessible to the public, underwent non-conventional treatment using a cancer medication that at the time was not available in the United States, and her cancer was gone in six weeks. Although her cancer briefly came back in 2007, Lacy went back to her doctor and discovered it was gone again.
Lacy says that surviving cancer has also changed her life as a Realtor. “I learned to listen, not only with my ears but also with my heart, to serve without thinking about the cost, to study and know the answers to questions homeowners need answered, to think about the needs of the client before considering my own and to be patient, at all costs,” noted Lacy.
